A video showing thick smoke and a massive fire rising from numbered white storage tanks at ”Asia Petro Chem” is circulating on social media, with users claiming that it depicts an Iranian attack on Israeli oil facilities.

Sharing the video, Pakistan based handle Black Tiger stated, ”Iran’s Attack on Oil Installations in the Heart of Israel”

Another handle Yoddha stated, ”BREAKING NEWS: On one side, Trump’s appeal for peace; on the other, Iran’s devastating response. Iran has fired missiles at the oil depot and refineries located in the central part of Israel. A scene of destruction and a deepening war. Is the situation now spiraling out of control?”

Fact Check

During our fact-check research, we extracted key frames from the video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to the same video that was posted on the X handle Aljasranews on May 31, 2025. According to the post’s description, the footage shows a massive fire at the Al Hamriyah Port fuel depot in Sharjah, UAE.
