April 22 marked the one-year anniversary of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, a tragedy that continues to resonate in India due to the loss of 26 innocent lives and the lasting trauma it left behind. Over the past year, Pakistan’s ISPR-backed propaganda ecosystem, amplified through fake news peddlers and coordinated handles, repeatedly pushed disinformation targeting India. During Operation Sindoor, these campaigns intensified sharply, with our team documenting more than 150 Pakistan sponsored fake news cases related to the operation in just one week. The propaganda did not stop there throughout the year, we continuously debunked similar false narratives and influence operations aimed at misleading audiences and maligning India. In the latest example, several Pakistani propaganda handles circulated videos claiming to show Indian Army officials criticizing India and the Indian government in connection with Operation Sindoor. However, our investigation finds that these clips were digitally altered and circulated as part of a coordinated disinformation campaign to spread a false narrative against India.

Presented below are several digitally altered videos in which Indian Army personnel and public figures appear to be making critical comments related to ”Operation Sindoor.” These videos have been shared by Pakistani propaganda handles and include claims such as resignations, criticism of the Indian government, and misleading visuals related to military operations. We conducted a thorough investigation of these videos and found that the clips have been digitally altered.
