A video showing multiple missiles striking a city is going viral on social media. It is being claimed that the footage is from the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict and shows Iran launching missile attacks on Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv. However, our investigation found that this claim is false.

A user named Awesh Tiwari shared the video on X and wrote, “Let’s watch the Iranian fireworks over Israel last night. It is certain that Iran is being supported with weapons by Russia, China, or some European countries. It has been proven that these countries are providing intelligence inputs to Iran.”

Dr. Monika Singh wrote, “Iranian missiles lit up the sky over Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv, like fireworks! Iran has crushed Israel’s arrogance.”

Jeetu Burdak wrote, “Iranian missiles spread fireworks in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel! Iran has completely humbled Israel.”

Fact Check

During our fact-checking process, we extracted key frames from the video and conducted a reverse image search. During our investigation, we found that this video was posted by a TikTok account named “phamtuanqlkd6868.” The same account has shared several other similar videos, suggesting that such content is AI-generated.

The viral video was analyzed using the Hive AI Detection Tool, it was found to be AI-generated.

Furthermore, Product Head of Twitter Nikita Bier stated that one simple way to identify AI-generated war videos is by their duration, noting that videos created using Sora are typically 10 seconds long. This observation also suggests that videos with a duration of around 10 seconds may potentially be AI-generated.
