A video is going viral on social media amidst the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the country. The video claims that BJP flags are not being allowed to enter the villages of Haryana-Punjab. These flags are also being burnt. However, investigation reveals that this video is more than two years old.
Journalist Dinesh Kumar shared this video on Instagram and wrote, “If there is a fire, many houses will be destroyed. Our house is not the only one in this street. Today in Ellenabad, Haryana, @BJP4India’s flags were taken off the campaign vehicle and burnt. While killing farmers, destroying homes, BJP probably forgot that no rule is permanent.”

Because those who dig a pit for others, in the end they are the ones who fall in that pit. Jai Jawan Jai Kisan. The video is being told of Ellenabad in Haryana where farmers removed the flags from the BJP campaign vehicle and burnt them. Farmers have stopped the entry of BJP and JJP in the village.”

Furthermore, we also found this video on a Facebook page named Bebak Awaaz. This video was shared on the Facebook page on 7 October 2021. Its caption reads – BJP’s condition in Ellenabad assembly by-election, farmers burnt BJP flags.
