The video is being shared with a claim that the woman is actress, Kangana Ranaut, who is contesting from BJP seat. In the audio of the video, slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” can be heard. Many X users have stated that the BJP leader assaulted her during the political protest.

Fact Check
In the first step, we extracted different keyframes from the video and ran a reverse image search on Google. Reverse image search led us to a YouTube video posted on the Videomanics channel 16 years ago. The headline of the video reads, “Sherry Rehman, Yousuf Raza Gilani, PPP Rally.”
It was found that this video is of a political protest rally in Lahore, Pakistan which took place 16 years ago. Moreover, the woman in the video who purportedly got assaulted is Sherry Rahman, who is a Pakistan politician and a journalist. The video has nothing to do with Kangana Ranaut and India.
Furthermore, the Guardian article states that the protests took place to express dissatisfaction and anger over various political, social and religious issues in Pakistan. This protest took place against a backdrop of political turmoil, protests by lawyers and allegations of foreign intelligence interference. Artists were trying to highlight social apathy, government corruption, and gender inequality through music, poetry and other art forms. The purpose of the protest was to inspire youth and raise awareness about important issues affecting Pakistani society.
Now coming to the slogan in the video, there is no slogan of Jai Shri Ram in the original video. It was edited and added to make it appear as if the crowd was chanting Jai Shri Ram.
Conclusion: The claim that Kangana Ranaut was assaulted in a BJP political rally is false. It is being publicized claiming that this video is of a political rally that took place in Pakistan about 16 years ago.
