A video showing a massive fire and thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky is circulating on social media, with users claiming that it shows Tel Aviv engulfed in flames after Iran launched 500 missiles at Israel.
Sharing the video, the handle Raju Shah wrote, ”Iran has launched a massive attack on Israel, Reports indicate that the attack was carried out with 500 missiles. Official confirmation has not yet been received.”
Another handle Nishar Bhai stated,”breaking news : Tel Aviv now This scene is from Tel Aviv, everything is engulfed in flames.”

During our fact-check research, we extracted key frames from the video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to the same video posted on the official X handle of Reuters on March 26, 2022. According to the post’s description, the footage actually is of Yemen’s Houthi rebels attacked Saudi Arabia’s energy facilities, hitting oil giant Saudi Aramco’s petroleum products distribution station in Jeddah, with thick black smoke rising over the Red Sea city.
