However, Zubair’s tweet stirred controversy as he made a big claim, alleging that the very groups organizing the protest, namely Bajrang Dal and VHP, had played a role in instigating and participating in the violence they were now publicly condemning.

During our investigation into the root causes of the violence in Nuh, Haryana, we embarked on an extensive keyword research journey, seeking answers to the crucial question: “What caused the violence in Nuh, Haryana?” In the course of our quest, we stumbled upon a compelling report by Hindustan Times, dated August 2, 2023. According to this report, the police had made a startling revelation.

It was disclosed that between July 21 and 23, local Muslim groups in Nuh held secretive meetings, strategizing a sinister plot to attack the yatra, anticipating the presence of an individual named Monu. The investigators, relying on interrogations of those arrested, revealed that participants in these meetings formed WhatsApp groups and assigned specific responsibilities to each group leader. Their chilling tasks involved procuring stones and glass bottles to be used as projectiles against the procession.

A resident from Nuh, who attended one of these ominous gatherings, shared that arranging the ammunition was disconcertingly simple. The area was rife with an abundance of glass cold drink bottles, readily available in local shops. The ominous planning didn’t end there; residents from nearby villages were also informed in advance to collect stones for the impending mayhem.

In a chilling revelation, another resident from Singar village, preferring anonymity, disclosed that they went to great lengths to ensure the success of their malicious intentions. Over 200 motorbikes were strategically organized and their registration plates painted black to avoid detection by the police. Moreover, a horrifying discovery emerged – approximately 3,000 glass bottles were amassed, with some even filled with petrol. These deadly items were then distributed among different groups, all primed to unleash their havoc upon the unsuspecting religious procession of Hindus.

Role of Youtuber Ahsan Mewati Pakistani in inciting violence

As our investigation into the Nuh violence deepened, we turned to Twitter to uncover more information, and there, a name emerged with alarming frequency – Ahsan Mewati Pakistani, a prominent YouTuber purportedly linked to the incitement of violence in Nuh, Haryana through his videos. Intrigued by the significance of this lead, we delved into Ahsan’s YouTube channel, hoping to unveil the truth behind these accusations.

During this, we came across a video on Ahsan Mewati Pakistani’s Youtube channel published on July 31, 2023, that left us stunned by its inflammatory content. In this troubling video, Ahsan’s words echoed with vitriol and animosity, urging his followers to perpetrate heinous acts of violence against Hindus. He declared unequivocally that Hindus should not be spared under any circumstances.

The intensity of Ahsan’s rhetoric grew as he brazenly called for the murder of Monu Manesar, who was reportedly expected to visit Mewat. The chilling words spoken by Ahsan in the video leave no room for doubt about his intentions. He openly encouraged his audience to resort to extreme measures, spewing hate-filled sentiments against Hindus, using derogatory language to demean Hindu women, and praising the alleged fearlessness of Muslims after committing gruesome acts of violence.

In a disturbing call to action, Ahsan incited the Meo Muslims of Mewat to seek vengeance for past incidents, mentioning names like Junaid and Nasir. He urged his followers to rise up, become aggressive, and instigate a reign of terror. Ahsan’s dangerous words didn’t stop there; he brazenly stated that Muslims could stab and slash fearlessly, contrasting Hindus’ perceived cowardice when faced with the tip of a sword.

Gunfire from the Hills towards Hindu Devotees and Policemen

Moreover, as our investigation into the Nuh violence unfolded, we stumbled upon a gripping video shared by Dainik Bhaskar, offering a chilling glimpse into the chaotic and terrifying events that transpired. The footage provides compelling evidence that gunfire erupted from the hills, targeting innocent Hindu devotees gathered at the outer campus of Nalhareshwar temple.

In the heart-wrenching video, the harrowing sound of gunshots pierces the air as panic engulfs the scene. Frightened people scramble for safety, seeking refuge behind vehicles parked nearby, desperately trying to shield themselves from the hail of bullets. Amidst the chaos, a policeman can also be seen, crouching behind one of the vehicles, determined to protect himself from the indiscriminate gunfire.

FIR filed by Cyber Crime Police Station

Furthermore, in the course of our investigation, we stumbled upon a crucial piece of evidence – a First Information Report (FIR) filed at the City Nuh police station, shedding light on the harrowing events that unfolded during the religious procession. The FIR, lodged on the complaint of PSI Suraj from the cyber crime police station, vividly narrates a scene of chaos and terror that unfolded on that fateful day.

According to the FIR, at around 3:30 pm on July 31, a seemingly peaceful religious procession took a dark turn when an aggressive and enraged mob, numbering in the thousands, abruptly surrounded the cyber crime police station. The situation escalated rapidly as the mob started pelting stones at the police station, with chilling threats of burning the officers alive echoing in the air.

As the officers found themselves engulfed by the violent mob, they desperately sought refuge within the police station walls. However, the rioters’ onslaught persisted, leading to the arrival of ASI Digvijay and his colleague from Sadar Tauru police station, who rushed to the scene in a government vehicle (Bolero), seeking safety from the relentless stone pelting.

The situation took a turn for the worse when the rioters commandeered a yellow bus, using it as a battering ram to smash into the station’s walls and main gate. Some of the rioters even scaled the walls and roof, brandishing illegal arms, and directly opened fire at the police staff. The officers were forced to take cover behind walls to evade the gunfire.

Faced with the dire need to disperse the belligerent mob, constable Pradeep Kumar resorted to firing teargas shells, but the rioters persisted, continuing their barrage of stones. In an act of self-defence and protection, the police officers, in a desperate attempt to ward off the attackers, took up arms from the station’s armoury and fired warning shots in the air.

The situation spiralled further into chaos as the rioters resorted to vandalism, pouring petrol on several private cars of policemen parked inside and outside the station premises, igniting them into blazing infernos. Even a government vehicle fell victim to wanton destruction. Besides, the FIR outlines the grave charges pressed against the rioters, including sections 148, 149, 332, 353, 186, 427, 435, 436, 395 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections under The Arms Act at City Nuh police station.

So, all these points prove that neither the Bajrang Dal nor the VHP can be held responsible for instigating the violence in Nuh, Haryana. Instead, a grim truth emerges – the roots of this tragedy lie in a meticulously planned plot, masterminded by certain individuals within the Muslim community, weeks before the religious procession.

The FIR lodged at City Nuh police station, combined with the powerful video footage, unravelled a sequence of events that showcased an aggressive and enraged Muslim mob, bent on attacking Hindus and law enforcement officers alike. The planning and coordination behind the violence became clear as the investigation deepened, revealing a disturbing truth about the premeditated and malevolent intentions of the perpetrators.
