A shooting incident has been reported during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in the United States. Loud gunshot-like sounds triggered panic at the venue, where U.S. President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President JD Vance were reportedly present. Meanwhile, a claim is going viral on social media alleging that the attacker was of “Indian origin” and acted in revenge after Trump allegedly called India a “hell hole.”
A Pakistan-based X handle, Armed Forces Update, claimed that “the terrorist who attacked U.S. President Donald Trump is from Indian-African origin” and was seeking revenge over Trump’s alleged remarks calling India a “hell hole.” The post further alleged that U.S. Secret Service was investigating the possibility of an Indian role in an attempt to disrupt ongoing peace talks in Islamabad.

Asian Defence Observer wrote “31-year-old American of Indian origin” was involved in an assassination attempt on U.S. President Donald Trump. The post further claimed that the accused was “frustrated” and carried out the attack to take revenge after Trump allegedly called India a “hell hole” and Indians “laptop gangsters.”

Tactical Tribune wrote, “The person who attacked Trump in White House has Indian-African origin, Local US journalist said.”

Similarly, Sadaf Baloch and Sana Yousafzai also claimed that the accused was of Indian origin and made the same allegation.
