Fact Check

During our investigation, we first did a reverse video search of the footage shared by Kapil Chaudhary. To our surprise, we stumbled upon an eye-opening YouTube video by IANS TV, which had been uploaded on August 3, 2023. As we carefully scrutinized the visuals, it became evident that they were an exact match to the video Kapil had shared on Twitter.

However, the shocking truth emerged when we delved deeper into the content of the IANS TV video. According to IANS TV, the distressing incident depicted in the footage did not take place in Uttar Pradesh, as Kapil had suggested. Instead, it unfolded in the Tigri area of South Delhi. Moreover, the victim has been identified as Yusuf Ali, a resident of Sangam Vihar, Delhi. The incident reportedly stemmed from a financial transaction gone awry, where Yusuf had borrowed money from a person named Shahrukh.

Continuing our investigation, we conducted thorough keyword research with the words “Man stabbed to death in Delhi’s Tigri area,” which led us to a report by Times of India, published on August 2, 2023. Astonishingly, the video featured in this report also bore an uncanny resemblance to the one shared by Kapil Chaudhary on Twitter.

According to the Times of India report, the incident unfolded in Tigri, South Delhi, and was a tragic outcome of a heated money dispute. The two men involved were embroiled in a disagreement over a sum of Rs 3000, which escalated into a fatal confrontation. In a gruesome act of violence, the accused brutally stabbed the other man multiple times, resulting in his untimely death.

After this, we came across a tweet from none other than the UP Police, effectively confirming the true location of the disturbing incident. The UP Police acknowledged that the video, which Kapil Chaudhary had associated with Uttar Pradesh, was, in fact, related to an entirely different incident. According to their tweet, the video was linked to the harrowing events of August 2, 2023, in Thana Tigri, Delhi, not Uttar Pradesh.

Hence, all these points prove that the video shared by Kapil Chaudhary in which a man is stabbing another man, is not from Uttar Pradesh, as initially suggested, but rather from Tigri, Delhi.
