After losing badly in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi party is making a U-turn on many of its previous claims. One of those claims was that they are going to form a government in Gujarat according to an IB report. This claim was made by Arvind Kejriwal during one of his rallies in Gujarat. On 8 December 2022, Naresh Balyan tweeted IB means Internal Broadcasting department of the AAP, who gives the report after assessing the seats. Now some foolish BJP members have misunderstood this IB as another IB, so it is their fault. Don’t they even know whether this is the work of that IB or not?, he added.
So, is it true that by “IB” Arvind Kejriwal referred to the Internal broadcasting department of AAP and not any Investigation Agency? Let’s Fact Check.

During our research, we found the video of Kejriwal in which he is claiming that his sources have told him that the Central government has sent IB officials to analyze the mood of the public of Gujarat. He is even saying in the video that after visiting every part of Gujarat, IB had submitted its report to the Central government in which IB had reported that AAP is going to form a government in Gujarat.
So, this is where his lie gets caught. If Kejriwal meant the internal broadcasting department of AAP by “IB” then why is he saying in the video that the Central government had sent IB officials to Gujarat? Second, why is he saying in the video that IB officials submitted the report to the central government? If he is referring to the internal broadcasting department of AAP by “IB” then why would it take orders from the Central government and submit its report to the Central government instead of AAP?
Hence, all these points prove that Naresh Balyan is misleading people again with his tweet as Kejriwal was not referring to the internal broadcasting department of AAP by “IB” but was referring to the Investigation Agency.
