Fact Check

During our investigation, we decided to employ a reverse search method to ascertain the reality behind the viral video. Our search led us to a YouTube video, published on October 19, 2022, on the official Gurugram News channel. To our astonishment, the visuals in this video were identical to those in the viral footage. However, the details surrounding the incident, as presented in the YouTube video, diverged starkly from the sensational claims that had fueled the viral narrative.

Moreover, in the YouTube video, we were presented with the statement of ACP Crime Gurugram, Preetpal Singh, shedding light on the true nature of the unfortunate incident. According to ACP Preetpal Singh, on October 17, 2022, a shocking discovery was made at IFFCO Chowk—an unidentified dead body was found inside a suitcase. However, the police crime team, in their relentless pursuit of justice, successfully identified the deceased woman as Priyanka, originally hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur.

As the investigation unfolded, a chilling truth emerged. Priyanka had been the victim of a horrendous crime committed by her husband, Rahul. Their story began as a tale of love triumphing over family opposition, with the couple defying all odds to get married the previous year. Despite the initial joys of their union, it soon became apparent that their relationship had taken a dark turn.

According to the police, petty arguments plagued the couple’s once-harmonious existence, leading to a series of disputes. On the fateful night of October 16, 2022, at approximately 11:30 PM, a furious Rahul allegedly succumbed to his rage, strangling Priyanka in front of their innocent toddler. The unimaginable horror of witnessing such a heinous act was etched into the memory of their young child forever.

In an attempt to conceal his unspeakable crime, Rahul took drastic measures the following morning. He procured a suitcase and, callously disregarding the life he had extinguished, bundled Priyanka’s lifeless body inside. The callousness displayed by Rahul is truly harrowing, as he then proceeded to transport the suitcase using an e-rickshaw to the bustling IFFCO Chowk and leave the suitcase there.

However, justice was not to be denied. Rahul’s calculated attempts to conceal his abhorrent act were ultimately thwarted. The authorities apprehended him, bringing him to face the full weight of the law.

Next, taking a cue from the above YouTube video, we conducted keyword research using the words “woman found dead in a suitcase at IFFCO Chowk.” During our search, we stumbled upon a compelling report published by The Times of India in October 2022. This report not only echoed the sentiments expressed in the YouTube video but also provided additional valuable information. It cited the ACP Preetpal Singh, who played a pivotal role in unravelling the truth behind the gruesome crime.

According to The Times of India report, just two days after the shocking discovery of a woman’s lifeless body in an abandoned suitcase at IFFCO Chowk, the relentless efforts of the police bore fruit. The victim was successfully identified as Priyanka, and her husband (Rahul) was apprehended as the prime suspect in this heinous act of murder.
