We started our research with a keyword search “Four soldiers killed in Indian Army” and came across a report by a few media reports. According to The Indian Express newspaper, an unidentified person killed the four Army personnel while they were sleeping around 4.30 a.m. on the Wednesday morning at the Bathinda Cantonment.

Besides, Gunner Sagar Banne, Gunner Kamalesh R, Gunner Yogeshkumar J and Gunner Santosh M Nagral were identified as the four army personnel who were killed by the unidentified persons. Moreover, there is no official word on who carried out the attack.

Furthermore, we found Bathinda Police has filed an FIR against two unidentified persons. They were alleged to be wearing kurta-pyjamas and had their faces covered when they fired and murdered four Army jawans. Moreover, the FIR has been filed on the basis of a complaint made by Major Ashutosh Shukla.

Apart from that, our team checked if the Indian Army has the 18th Armoured Horse Regiment. But found the 18th horse regiment, according to information on the Indian Army website, does not exist in Indian army. Hence, the claim that four army jawans of the 18th horse regiment were killed in Bathinda is fake.

Since, the 18th horse regiment does not exist in the Indian Army, we googled with the keyword search “18th horse Army regiment is in which country” and across the website of Pakistani Military fandom. As per the information available there, the 18th Horse Regiment is in Pakistan’s Army.
