Viral Video of Wedding Misrepresented With False Claim of Dead Bride
A disturbing claim is being widely circulated on social media alongside a wedding video, alleging that in Uttar Pradesh a woman died by suicide a day before her wedding, yet her family proceeded with the ceremony and conducted the marriage using her body.
X user Deepak wrote: “A love that transcended life itself. In a tragic turn of events in UP, a groom chose to marry his bride even after she tragically passed away just a day before their wedding. A final, heartbreaking promise kept before she was laid to rest in the Ganges. Rest in peace.”
Gaurav wrote “Shocking wedding in UP! A woman allegedly died by suicide a day before her wedding, yet the family went ahead with the ceremony. It is claimed that the wedding was conducted with her body, and after the function, her last rites were performed in the Ganga.”
XAlertnow wrote “A woman who died a day before her wedding was reportedly bid farewell by her family through a wedding ceremony conducted according to traditions, and later her body was taken to the Ganges River for cremation.”
Accounts like Naresh, Epat and Bayrak Medya have also shared the same video, repeating the claim.
