Exposing Pakistan Army’s False Briefings and Propaganda Post Operation Sindoor

After four days of precision missile strikes, drone incursions, and artillery exchanges along the Line of Control (LoC), India and Pakistan agreed to cease all military operations across land, air, and sea, effective from the evening of May 10. On May 11, the three Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the Indian Armed Forces held a high-voltage press conference that decisively dismantled Pakistan’s false narratives. It was nothing short of a precision-strike — not with weapons, but with truth, aimed squarely at the web of deceit spun by the Pakistani military.

Cornered and exposed, the Pakistani Army was compelled to hold its own press conference late last night, around 2300 hours. What was intended to project seriousness and discipline instead turned into a farcical display, a mockery of military gravitas. The event was riddled with misinformation, half-truths, and outright fabrications. If falsehoods could be measured on the Richter scale, the magnitude of their lies would exceed 10.0.

This report is an attempt to systematically expose the disinformation campaign led by the Pakistan Army. It is meant for the people of Pakistan, many of whom remain unaware of the stark reality and are, tragically, celebrating a fictitious ‘victory’ over India, despite having lost control of ten of their most fortified air bases. It is also intended for Indian citizens, both those who may have fallen prey to Pakistani propaganda and the patriots who seek evidence-backed arguments to counter such misinformation. This document is your definitive guide to understanding the truth behind Operation Sindoor — a reality Pakistan wishes to bury under layers of denial.

Lie 1: The Pakistani Military Drone Reached New Delhi

Fact: The claim that a Pakistani military drone reached New Delhi is entirely false. Pakistan deployed Turkish-made Songar drones, which were observed swarming around the Line of Control (LoC). These drones were swiftly intercepted and neutralized by India’s robust air defense systems.

In a separate attempt, Pakistan reportedly launched a ballistic missile—possibly aimed at New Delhi—which was successfully intercepted and neutralized in Sirsa, Haryana. At no point was any Pakistani drone reported, sighted, or even rumored to have entered Delhi’s airspace.

The Pakistan Army’s claim that their drone hovered over the capital is pure propaganda. Their drones were used to target civilian areas and military establishments near LoC-adjacent villages. However, Indian defenses responded effectively. No civilian casualties were reported; only three individuals sustained minor injuries from drone debris that fell in Ferozepur, Punjab.

Lie 2: Indian Media Confirmed That Pakistan Successfully Targeted Sirsa, Udhampur, Pathankot, and Other Military Bases

Fact: The Pakistan Army shamelessly—and unsurprisingly—manipulated Indian media footage to support its false narrative. The original clip from ‘India TV’ showed how the Indian Armed Forces successfully intercepted and brought down a Pakistani surface-to-surface missile, Fateh, with debris recovered in Sirsa, Haryana.

The TV anchor also stated that Pakistan attempted to strike other strategic airbases in Pathankot and Udhampur, but all such attempts were thwarted by India’s defense systems.

However, in a deliberate act of misinformation, the Pakistan Army edited the video clip to remove the part where the anchor clearly states that India had neutralized Pakistan’s missile attacks at multiple locations. They retained only the portion where the anchor mentioned that Pakistan had “targeted” Indian airbases—deliberately omitting the critical context that these attacks had failed.

Lie 3: Indian Media Confirmed Widespread Panic and Fear Among Indian Citizens

Fact: This is yet another blatant falsehood propagated by the Pakistani Army during their press conference. In reality, the Indian TV anchor of ‘Aaj Tak’ was referring to the situation in Pakistan—not India. The anchor clearly stated that people in Pakistan were gripped by fear, panic, and chaos following the failed military escalations.

The anchor further remarked that if Pakistan cannot safeguard its own airbases, how can it be expected to protect its citizens or pose a threat to India?

In a deliberate act of deception, the Pakistani Army selectively edited the footage, removing the reference to “Pakistani people” and retaining only the phrase “people are in fear.” This manipulation was intended to mislead the Pakistani public into believing that Indian media was describing the situation in India, when in fact it was a direct critique of the chaos unfolding in Pakistan.

Lie 4: Indian Military Officers Admitted Pakistan Launched Widespread Aerial and Missile Attacks Across the Western Border

Fact: In another desperate attempt to mislead their people, the disgraced Pakistan Army—already struggling to defend the sanctity of its own military infrastructure—resorted to distorting video footage of Indian military briefings. During an official press conference, Indian military officers did acknowledge Pakistan’s provocative actions along the LoC, including multiple threat vectors and attempted aerial strikes across over 26 locations from Srinagar to Naliya. However, Pakistan’s version of the footage conveniently omitted the most critical part: the Indian response.

The edited video removed the statements where Indian officers made it clear that every Pakistani attempt was swiftly and effectively neutralized.

For clarity, here is what was actually said. IAF Wing Commander Vyomika Singh clearly stated that the Indian Armed Forces successfully intercepted and neutralized the majority of the Pakistani threats. While some limited damage was sustained at air force stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj, no major infrastructure was compromised. Pakistan also launched missile strikes at multiple air bases in Punjab, targeting civilian infrastructure in a deplorable and cowardly manner—including attacks on a healthcare center and school premises.

In contrast, the Indian Air Force responded with precision and restraint, targeting only verified military installations. These included technical infrastructure, command centers, radar stations, and weapons storage facilities. Pakistani military targets in Rafiqui, Muridke, and Rahim Yar Khan were hit using precision air-launched weapons.

Wing Commander Singh continued detailing India’s retaliatory strikes, but the Pakistan Army, intent on deceiving its citizens, censored these parts of the briefing from the footage shared publicly. This calculated suppression of truth is not just shameful; it’s a disservice to the very people the Pakistani military claims to protect.

Lie 5: Pakistani Navy Officer Presented an Image Showing Pakistan Navy’s Readiness for War with India

Fact: The image presented by the Pakistani Navy as proof of its combat readiness was not recent, nor was it authentic. In reality, it was a doctored version of an image originally published in a news article from December 2023.

The original image featured three naval ships and three fighter jets flying overhead. To create the illusion of variety and strength, the Pakistani Navy edited the image, replacing one of the ships with a submarine. This manipulation was passed off as a real-time show of military preparedness.

Such blatant fabrication reflects a disturbing level of unprofessionalism and absurd theatrics unbecoming of a nation’s armed forces.

Lie 6: India Attacked Afghanistan with a BrahMos Missile, but Pakistan Intercepted It and Saved Afghanistan

Fact: This claim is utterly baseless and laughable. Pakistan, which has failed to protect even its own most heavily guarded military installations—from Rawalpindi to Karachi—is now claiming it intercepted a BrahMos missile to defend Afghanistan. The very notion is absurd.

Moreover, the Afghan government has officially clarified that no Indian missile strike occurred on its territory. There was no attack, no interception, and no threat from India to Afghanistan.

This fabricated story is yet another desperate attempt by Pakistan to inflate its military image and mislead its own people.

Lie 7: Pakistan Army Destroyed the Udhampur Airbase

Fact: This claim is entirely baseless. The image released by the Pakistan Army, which they presented as evidence of a successful missile strike on the Udhampur Airbase, was actually of a construction site where ongoing development work has been underway since April 21. There was no damage caused by any missile strike.

Pakistan falsely attributed routine construction activity to the aftermath of an attack in a blatant attempt to mislead both its citizens and the international community.

Conclusion

In times of conflict, truth often becomes the first casualty, especially when authoritarian regimes seek to control public perception through manipulation and deceit. The Pakistani military’s recent propaganda campaign, built on doctored images, edited videos, and outright fabrications, is a textbook case of psychological warfare waged not on their adversary, but on their own citizens. While India has consistently responded with transparency, precision, and restraint, Pakistan has resorted to cheap theatrics to mask its failures on the ground and in the air.

This report stands as a documented rebuttal to their falsehoods—grounded in fact, bolstered by evidence, and intended for those who value truth over rhetoric. Let this serve as a reminder: in the age of misinformation, vigilance is our greatest weapon.
