A video is going viral on social media in which a Hindu woman is seen saying that she has married her brother-in-law (husband’s elder brother) because she loves him too. She says that she will now live with both her husband and her brother-in-law.

In our fact-check, we took different keyframes from the video and performed a reverse image search. We found that this video was uploaded on a Facebook page named Kanhaiya Kashyap on March 2.
At the 7-second mark in the video, a disclaimer pops up that reads, “This video is purely made for entertainment purposes only. This video has no intention to disrespect or defame based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression.”
The disclaimer in the video makes it clear that the video is scripted and has no connection with reality.
Kanhaiya Kashyap is a content creator, and his Facebook page features many similar scripted videos.
