State Health Minister Rustam Singh called the speculation “absurd” and clarified that the government had made no such decision and that there had been no discussions on the matter. He criticized media personnel for not verifying the information with government authorities before reporting.
Principal Secretary of Health Gauri Singh expressed disbelief at the news, calling it absurd and unfounded.
Additionally, PR Tiwari, the director of Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan, clarified that any scheme involving astrologers was limited to a yoga center in Bhopal, where people could consult astrologers and vastu experts for issues unrelated to health, such as marriage, education, or employment.
Hence, the claim that Madhya Pradesh government is planning to set up Astrology OPD in hospitals is misleading. The rumour was called baseless and absurd.
