Viral Aerial Video of ‘Iranian Strike on Abu Dhabi Plant’ Is AI-Generated

An aerial video showing a massive fire is going viral on social media. The footage appears to have been captured from a flight in the air. It is being claimed that the video shows the aftermath of an Iranian missile and drone attack on Emirates Global Aluminium’s Al Taweelah plant in Abu Dhabi. However, our investigation found that the video is AI-generated.

Tanmoy shared the video on X and wrote, “BREAKING Aerial footage shows a fire at Emirates Global Aluminium’s Al Taweelah plant in Abu Dhabi after Iranian missile and drone strikes. Iran’s IRGC said the attacks on EGA and Bahrain’s Alba were in retaliation for U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iranian steel facilities.”

Imtiaz Madmood wrote, “Following the barrage of Iranian missiles and one-way attack drones sent to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) earlier today, the Emirates Global Aluminum Al-Taweelah facility between Abu Dhabi and Dubai has heavy fire activity.”

Sulaiman Ahmed wrote, “BREAKING: Aerial footage captures the fire at Emirates Global Aluminium’s Al Taweelah facility in Abu Dhabi following Iran’s missile and drone strikes. The IRGC said the strikes on EGA and Bahrain’s Alba were retaliation for US-Israeli attacks on Iranian steel plants.”
