Fact Check
In the start of our research, we spotted Chinese text in the viral video which raised question if the video is really from India. Further, extracting keyframes from the video, we did the reverse image search. We found that the video is not from Chenab river, Jammu, but China.
The video is of Beipanjiang Railway Bridge, Shuibai. The bridge was opened in 2001. From 2001 to 2016, it was the world’s tallest train bridge.
Furthermore, we discovered a few pictures of the Shuibai bridge on highestbridges.com and matched them to the bridge in the viral video. The pattern and the bridge layout were same.
As the video of the Shuibai bridge was going viral with a claim that it was the Chenab river railway bridge. We googled the Chenab river bridge images and discovered that the design is not the same.
Hence, considering the above aspects it is evident that the video going viral is from Shuibai railway bridge which is in China. Here are the few pictures of the Chenab river railway bridge shared by Ministry of Railways.
