“72 Hoorain” is an upcoming movie, its teaser has been uploaded a few days back. The Leftists and Islamist lobby have started attacking Hindu scriptures as per their whims. Subsequently, various Hindu scriptures are under attack. In addition to this, the viral tweet has attention of 105k users already. Half Education is dangerous. The ultimate goal of life in Hinduism is moksha and the cycle of birth, not heaven. Hindus need to start reading their own scriptures properly rather than falling for distorted versions. Therefore, will clarify that 1000 Apsaras promised to Hindus in heaven is false and misleading.
According to Alam Hu, Hindu scriptures promise to provide 1000 Apsaras in heaven after death. Whereas, in the Abrahamic religion of Islam promises ’72 Hoors’ if they kill the ‘kafirs’. Specifically speaking about Sanatan Dharma there is no such promise.
One more related misleading tweet by another account namely Fizza Rizvi calling Hindus in a very disrespectful and with distaste “संघी सुअरों का भी अजीब दोगलापन है। जो खुद स्वर्ग की 1000 #अप्सरा के चक्कर में सोशल मीडिया पर नफरत फैलाते रहते हैं।
Anti-Hindu fake news peddler Shoaib Jamai who mostly comes in mainstream media news debate also tweeted the distorted version on Hindu scriptures. Never failing to demean Hindus and Hindu scriptures.
Additionally, one of the other account TKhann also posted this distorted tweet about Hindu scriptures.
Following the trend of posting distorted version of Hindu scriptures, on more account namely LadidaV12 has tweeted it.
So, thereby, all these claims are fake and distorted translations and we also reject the concepts. Let’s check out the truer version.

Fact Check
Mahabharat is an Epic in Hindu scriptures. Accordingly, the lessons and values it teaches are much appreciated.
In order to spread hate, a distorted version is in circulation. Therefore, debunking their lies by producing true versions of Hindu scriptures.
NOTE: Mahabharat content is referred by firstly mentioning – the Parva name, then the chapter number and then the Shloka number.
1st claim: The claim is ‘In Heaven, there are beautiful Lakes, golden complexioned women (Apsaras) live there. [Mahabharata vana Parva 168.6-7]’. Conversely, the truth is:
Fact: Vana Parva is the 3rd Parva of the 18 Parva of Mahabharat. Chapter 168 consists of the topic Nivata-kavacha-yudha Parva.
Verses 6-7 talks about Arjun describing his travel, why he left, where he was, and what he did. Arjuna shows the celestial weapons he now possessed.
धाराणां च निपातेन वायोर्विस्फूर्जितेन च ।
गर्जितेन च दैत्यानां न प्राज्ञायत किंचन ॥६
And, thousands upon thousands of gems were floating in heaps and a violent wind was blowing about in whirls—and this was wonderful to behold.
धारा दिवि च संबद्धा वसुधायां च सर्वशः ।
व्यामोहयन्त मां तत्र निपतन्त्योऽनिशं भुवि ॥ ७
And having beheld that excellent lord of all waters with powerful tides, I saw at a short distance the city of the demons filled with the Danavas.
2nd Claim: He is received in Heaven by 1000 women of beautiful buttocks. [Mahabharata 13/79/27]
Fact: Mahabharata – Anushaasana Parva (13th Parva). Albeit the truth is:
अध्यायः 079
अथ दानधर्मपर्व ॥ 1 ॥
भीष्मेण युधिष्ठिरम्प्रति विवाहविभागकथनम्॥ 1 ॥
तथा कन्यानां भार्यात्वप्रापकविध्यादिनिरूपणम्॥ 2 ॥
It is a conversation between Bhishma Pitahma and Yudhishthir.
13.79.27 (verse)
बन्धुभिः समनुज्ञाते मन्त्रहोमौ प्रयोजयेत्।
With the permission of the relatives, the mantra should be used in the sacrifice.
तथा सिध्यन्ति ते मन्त्रा नादत्तायाः कथञ्चन
Thus, those mantras are accomplished by Nadatta somehow.
3rd claim: In Heaven, he enjoys intercourse with women. [Atharva Veda 4.34.2; Matsya Purana 107.5; Mahabharata 13.106.60]. It consists of Mahabharat, Matsya Purana and Atharva Ved.
Fact: (i) As claimed that Atharva Ved 4.34.2 mentions Intercourse with Women. However, the truth is:
Atharva Veda 4.34.2 “The persons firm in their faith, purified, cleansed with their sacerdotal acts and pure in their conscience attain the state of splendid purity. The all-pervading Divinity does not burn or deprive of their organ of enjoyment and generation and in the state of Svarga they have many women, one for each one as his wife.”
Interpretation: He mentioned that this verse is applicable to all Brahmins. However, that is not the case. In Atharva Veda, many Sava sacrifices are mentioned. Sava sacrifice is called “Brahmasyaudana Sava”, also called “Vishtari sacrifice”. Only those who perform this sacrifice alone will get the so-called pleasures in heaven.
(ii) Matsya purana – Chapter 107.4 & 107.5
प्रयाग स्थित विविध तीर्थोका वर्णन:
“अकामो वा सकामो वा गङ्कायां यो विपद्यते। मृतस्तु लभते स्वर्गं नरकं च न पश्यति॥”४
जो मनुष्य निष्कामभाव से अथवा किसी कामनाको लेकर गङ्गाको धारामें डूबकर मर जाता है, वह स्वर्गमें चला जाता है।
अप्सरोगणसंगीतैः सुसोऽसौ प्रतिबुद्धयते। | हंससारसयुक्तेन विमानेन स गच्छति। | बहुवर्षसहस्राणि स्वर्गं राजेन्द्र॒ भुञ्जते ॥ ५ |
उसे नरकका दर्शन नहीं करना पड़ता। वह हंस और सारससे युक्त विमानपर चढ़कर देवलोकको जाता है। वरहो वह अप्सरासमूहके सुमधुर गान-शब्दो्रारा नींदसे जगाया जाता है। इस प्रकार वह अनेकों हजार वर्षोतक स्वर्ग-सुखका उपभोग करता है।।
Thereby, this claim stands false. No mention of intercourse with women.
(iii) The claim of Mahabharata 13.106.60 mentioning intercourse with women, is False. There are only 57 verses in Chapter 106 of ‘Anushasan Parva’ which is the 13th Parva.
4th claim: “A person who died on the battlefield attains heaven and enjoys with virgins of heaven (Devakanyas).” [Parashar smriti 3.36; Devi Bhagavatam 3.15.10]
Fact: However there is a mention of warriors dying, they being accompanied by daughters of Devtas. Their heroic death is the reason to marry and live with the daughters of Devtas. There is nowhere mentioning of Apsaras or enjoying with them. To understand, the essence of Kshatriya is a must.
Presenting, Parashar smriti Chapter-3, verse 36:
The Srimad Devi Bhagwatam Book-3, Chapter 15,verse 10 mentions about warriors dying on battlefield and thus completing their dharma of kshatriya have died. Thus, are welcomed in devlok on chariots and his wife joins him in devlok later on. The beautiful women of devlok welcomes them for their bravery as warrior as they no more are in human form.
Hence, all these shreds of evidence prove that even though lies are being circulated, the truth will always win. Nevertheless, the ultimate goal of life is to find truth and abide by it.
