Did the Saffron flag was waved over a mosque in Karauli, Rajasthan as claimed by The Wire?

3 days back on 5^th April 2022, leftist media The Wire uploaded a video on YouTube on the timeline of Karauli violence where it was seen that a man was waving a saffron flag over a mosque. The Wire shared the video and claimed that the video is from Karauli, Rajasthan where the violence broke out during a Shobha Yatra on Nav Samvatsar between Hindus and Muslims.

A Twitter handle Arjun Mehar also tweeted the same alleged video. In his tweet he wrote, the purpose of these Sanghi fanatics is only to cause riots. He also added that if someone answers these lusts in their language, then the people of this country blame the Muslims. He further wrote that these fanatics have protection from the government, judiciary, and administration of this country.

After analyzing the video thoroughly, we found out that some clip of the viral video is not even from Karauli, Rajasthan. The clip of the alleged video was found to be from Ghazipur, UP. Ghazipur SP Ram Badan Singh also confirmed that the video is related to the Ghamar village present in Ghazipur. Besides, the district collector of Karauli, Rajasthan also told the press that the video shared by Arjun Mehar on Twitter is not from Karauli. The Collector also instructed the police to take strict action against those spreading fake news and rumours in this regard.
