Brazil Supermarket Fire Clip Falsely Shared as Iranian Strike on Tel Aviv

A video showing a sudden explosion inside a building during a rescue operation is rapidly going viral on social media. In the footage, several firefighters can be seen standing near the structure moments before a powerful blast erupts, leaving them injured. The video is being widely shared with the claim that it captures an attack by Iran in Tel Aviv, Israel. However, our investigation found that this claim is misleading.

An X account named Political Cosmic Commentary shared the video with the caption, “Iran first struck the building with a missile, and when the rescue team arrived, they too were targeted by another Iranian missile—just like how Israel used to bomb Palestinians .Tonight, Tel Aviv is in complete darkness without electricity and water. The Iron Dome defense system has completely failed, and widespread power outages have occurred after Iran bombed a power plant, forcing people to endure a terrifying night.”

An X account named Yoddha wrote, “History is a witness that time never remains the same. The scenes once witnessed by Gaza and Hamas are now reflected in the silence spread across the streets of Tel Aviv. The wheel of time has turned.”

Another user, Shoaib, wrote, “Has Iran eliminated the Israeli Defence Minister? This building is being claimed to belong to the Israeli Defence Minister, and it has suffered heavy damage due to the Iranian attack.”
