Clip of Dr. Samir V. Kamat Speaking About Using Cow Urine in Agni-VI Program Is Digitally Altered

A video of DRDO Chairman, Dr. Samir V. Kamat, is going viral in which he is saying, “We are making some significant changes to the Agni-VI ballistic missile program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi specifically told us that all missiles should be washed with pure cow urine before they are made.” He further adds, “First, we soaked the missile parts in urine, but they started rusting, so now we use a mixture of cow dung and urine to prevent rust. Now our missile is uncontaminated, and this is the secret ingredient behind the robust Indian missile programme.”

Sharing the video, the Pakistani handle The Whistle Blower wrote, “On Agni-VI ballistic missile, DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat says, “We are making some significant changes in Agni 6 ballistic missile programme. Prime Minister Modi specifically told us that all missiles should be washed with pavitra cow urine before they are made, first we soak the missile parts into urine, but they started getting rust so now we use a mixture of cow dung and urine to prevent rust.”

Another handle, Dr. Dariya M. Khan, asserted, “All missiles should be washed with cow urine! So, we now use mixture of cow dung and urine to prevent rust. Agni VI is Indian ICBM designed to strike the United States! At what point do we say India and Indians are threat to human civilisation?”

Fact Check

In our fact-check research, we ran a keyword search on Google using keywords such as “DRDO chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat on using cow urine in the Agni-VI ballistic missile program,” but found no report about any statement made by Dr. Samir V. Kamat.

Next, we extracted key frames from the viral video and ran a reverse image search. This led us to the original video of Dr. Samir V. Kamat posted on the official X handle of ANI. Upon comparing the viral video and the ANI’s version, it was found that the circulating clip has been digitally manipulated.

In the original ANI’s video, Dr. Samir V. Kamat spoke about Pralay short-range ballistic missile that has reached the final stages of testing and will be ready for induction soon. He also spoke about India working on two hypersonic programs: the hypersonic glide missile and the hypersonic cruise missile.

Nowhere in the clip does Dr. Samir V. Kamat make any remarks about using cow urine in the Agni-VI program. The viral clip circulating on social media is digitally altered.

In conclusion, the viral video claiming that DRDO Chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat spoke about using cow urine in the Agni-6 missile program is digitally doctored. The original clip from the National Security Summit shows him discussing the Pralay missile, which is in its final testing phase.
