Amidst the ongoing battle between Hamas and Israel, several videos and photographs have spread on social media, each accompanied by a different claim. One such particular viral video depicts two helicopters being attacked and destroyed by missiles. According to the video’s claim, Palestinian freedom fighters (Hamas terrorists) successfully attacked and destroyed two Israeli helicopters in Gaza. Umair Farooq (Archived link), an X user based in Pakistan, tweeted the video and wrote, “Such scenes have never been seen before. Palestinian freedom fighters have shot down 4 Israeli war helicopter in Gaza. Has surprised the world with his versatility and preparation.”
This video has garnered a significant attention on platform X, with many people reposting it and making similar claims. The X handles going by the names Aalia Khan (Archived link), Burgess (Archived link), Harsh Verma (Archived link), and sir AK (Archived link) all shared the same video along with the same claim.
Besides X, the video was also shared on Facebook by the user Aleem Kotiya who wrote, “You would have never seen such a scene before in Palestine. Palestinian Haryat fighters shot down 4 Israeli war helicopters in Gaza and surprised the world with their preparedness.”

In the initial stages of our research, we extracted various keyframes from the viral video and performed Google reverse image searches, which gave us many similar clips with the same backgrounds. We examined the video released on the YouTube channel Kazinkka Warrior (Archived link) and discovered it to be the same as the video going viral on various social media platforms with the claim that Hamas had shot down four Israeli helicopters.
Furthermore, Kazinkka Warrior channel’s ‘About section’ specifically mentions, “You will find original gameplay videos and more here. Enjoy watching and don’t forget to subscribe. None of the videos represent actual demonstrations of military operations.” “All these videos were created with the Arma 3 game editor.” Moreover, there are numerous animated videos on this channel that appear to be genuine but are not. They were created using the Arma 3 game editor. It makes it evident that the video going viral is animated.
Apart from that, another notable point is that the video on Kazinkka Warrior’s channel was uploaded on October 4, and the war between Hamas terrorists and Israel began on October 7. As a result, the viral video has nothing to do with the current conflict between these two factions.
