A video is widely circulating on social media showing people standing in a queue, waiting to board transportation. It is being shared with the claim that Israelis are fleeing to Cyprus following Iran’s retaliatory strike against Israel.
Wasim Akram Tyagi wrote, ‘The video is being said to be of Zionists. Now the Zionists are fleeing to Cyprus. On the other hand, the third generation of Palestinians is living in tents because of these wretched Zionists. Now they are fleeing. In fact, they had fled from Europe and come here too, occupied the land of the Palestinians and then started torturing those who gave them shelter.’
Zafar Saifi stated, ‘There are long queues in Israel to flee the country due to fear of Iran’s attacks. Israeli people are fleeing to Cyprus.’
Dr. Sheetal Yadav alleged, ‘The migration of people from Israel to Cyprus continues. Israelis are slowly leaving the country.’
Sadaf Afreen, Ansar Imran, Rizwan Haider, Bilal Ahmed , Umashankar Singh and Dr Mukesh Kumar shared the video with a similar claim.

We began our fact-checking process by conducting a reverse image search of the video. The search led us to a clip shared by the Associated Press on June 20, 2025, with the caption, “Israeli travelers stranded in Cyprus begin return trip by boat.”
In the accompanying description, it states, “David Agami has been eager to leave Cyprus and get back to his wife and six children since his flight from the US was diverted when Israel and Iran began trading air attacks last week. On Thursday, he was among hundreds of other Israelis who found spots aboard the Israeli cruise ship Crown Iris, which embarked on the trip of about 270 kilometers (167 miles) to Israel.”
Additionally, we found a report published on June 21, 2025, by Israel Hayom, which noted, “Hundreds of Israelis were documented waiting to board the rescue ship of the Israeli Shipping Company in Cyprus. The port of Ashdod prepared in advance to receive the ship from Limassol, while reinforcing forces, operating an expedited procedure and securing the passengers.”
