Sharing the video, the handle TBN News wrote, “Rohit Sharma on Burj Khalifa: I am not casteist, but he is the pride of Brahmins, a Brahmin boy who bows to no one.”
The video was also shared by other handles like Satya Swar, Devanshi Tiwari and Deepak.

To fact-check the viral video, we first examined media reports on the matter. However, we found no credible reports confirming that the Burj Khalifa paid tribute to the Indian cricket team following their Champions Trophy victory in Dubai.
Next, we reviewed the official Instagram handle of the Burj Khalifa and found no such video featuring a tribute to the Indian team. The last video posted on the account was in March, marking the beginning of Ramadan.
Further investigation revealed that the viral video contains a watermark from the Instagram handle of Ahmed Raja. Upon checking his profile, we discovered that he originally shared the video on March 9, 2025. Additionally, we found similar edited videos posted by Ahmed Raja, featuring cricketers like Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Virat Kohli on the Burj Khalifa.
Therefore, the claim that the Burj Khalifa honored the Indian cricket team and captain Rohit Sharma after their spectacular Champions Trophy victory is false. The viral video is edited.
