It is clear from all the above tweets that they are trying to suggest that the picture of an old helpless miner is from the Uttarkashi tunnel.
So, is it true that the picture of an elderly helpless miner is really from the Uttarkashi tunnel? Let’s Fact Check.

Fact Check
In our investigative journey, our initial step involved conducting a thorough reverse image search of the viral picture to verify its authenticity. Amidst this process, an intriguing discovery surfaced. We stumbled upon a Quora post dating back to 2019, bearing a poignant question: “Can you share such photos that makes you cry?”
Within the replies to this heartfelt query, a user named Rafeeque Khan shared a picture that caught our immediate attention—it bore an astonishing resemblance to the viral picture we were diligently scrutinizing.
Continuing our investigation, we encountered yet another Facebook page called “Qasem Sultani.” On this page, a post from May 2019 featured the very same image of the elderly, helpless miner as our viral picture. Intriguingly, the caption accompanying this picture reads, “The most painful picture, the story of the forty years of the Great War.”
As our investigation progressed, we stumbled upon a Facebook page titled “Native Facebook.” Surprisingly, this page posted an identical picture of the elder mine worker on September 20, 2020, accompanied by the caption “Hard-working and Harassed Father.”
However, despite our efforts, the original source of the viral picture remains elusive. However, the compelling evidence we’ve gathered unequivocally suggests that the image of the elderly miner isn’t linked to the purported Uttarkashi tunnel incident, as widely claimed. Through the multiple instances we’ve uncovered—various postings on platforms dating back to different years—it’s evident that this picture predates the Uttarkashi events over the years.
Hence, all this information and evidence proves that the viral image of an old helpless mine worker has nothing to do with the miners stuck in the Uttarkashi tunnel.
