Foreign-funded NGOs are on overdrive with anti-India propaganda ever since Hungarian billionaire George Soros made a claim about a changing regime in India. On 13th February, 2023, an USA based NGO named Indian American Muslim Council tweeted a video with claim “BJP Govt. in Uttar Pradesh arrested a principal of Govt school for reciting Alama Iqbal Poem while on the other side they are allowing havan.”
Apart from that, a propaganda journalist from the Jamia Times, Ahmed Khabeer, also tweeted the same video with a similar claim.

We started our research by playing the entire video, and we found that it is not a recent video. At the time frame of 22 sec, it’s written on the board, “Farewell 2018-2019,” so, this video is a 4 year old from school farewell.
Further, taking the clue from the video, we performed a keyword search for “Farewell Havan in school 2018-2019” across all social media platforms. Moreover, we found the same video on the timeline of an Arya Samaj activist, Deepak Arya. He tweeted the additional information that this video is from Arya Vidya Mandir, established by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
Also, the farewell Havan is believed to be performed every year in this school. After doing a google search, we found an image from 2014-2015 farewell Havan as well
Moreover, Arya Mandir School is not a Govt. funded school and its run by Arya group of Instituitions affiliated to ICSE Board.
Besides, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is a private board designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy (India), through the medium of English.
Hence, after analyzing all the facts, our team clearly concludes that the claims made by the above Twitter users are fake.
