A video is going fiercely viral on social media claiming that in the event of the St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore, four Hindu students were dancing to the item song in burqa because they want to hurt the feelings of the Muslim community. The claim was made by the Twitter users CrimeReportIndia and Complicated.

The keyword search “Hindu students of St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore, dancing in a burqa” took us to the Twitter post of St. Joseph Engineering College. The College clarified via the post that the students who were dancing are Muslims and not Hindus. Further, they added that the students who did this mischievous act are suspended.
Hence, we can see that the claim made by the Twitter users is fake with the intention to demean Hindus and and to create a communal tension by misleading people
