A clip of an Indian soldier crying has gone viral, where he is seen appealing to the PM Modi for help, saying that the Pakistan’s Army is extremely dangerous and that India should not provoke it. He further says that Modi sleeps in an air-conditioned room while they are sent at the border to fight Pakistan.
Sharing the video, the Bangladeshi account going by the name Lara wrote, “At the Pakistan border, an Indian soldier’s cry for help: Modi sleeps in an air-conditioned room while we are sent to the Pakistan border to die. Please save me, Modi saar. The Pakistani army is very dangerous, don’t mess with them.” (Archived link)

This clip was also shared on other platforms like Instagram (Archived link), Facebook (Archived link), and YouTube (Archived link) claiming it to be of the Indian Army.

Fact Check
In our fact-check research, we first conducted keyword search for Indian soldier crying but did not find any media reports.
Next, we took a screengrab from the video and ran it through an AI-detection tool Decopy AI, which showed an 84% probability that the image is AI-Generated.
We further analyzed the clip using Hive Moderation tool, which also confirmed that the overall content was AI-generated, assigning a 67% probability to the video and an 89% probability to the audio.
Lastly, we found that the original video was posted on TikTok by the handle rimsha.doll31. Although the handle is currently unavailable, we took screenshots of some of its posts where it shared similar AI-generated videos of Indian soldiers crying.
In conclusion, the video of the crying Indian soldier is not of a real Indian soldier. Hence, the claim that it shows an Indian soldier pleading for help from the Modi government is misleading. This clip is entirely AI-generated.
