In June 2022, the event occurred in the Tamu town. Aye Mar Tun, a 25-year-old Non-CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) teacher, was identified as the victim in the clip. In the video clip, she is chained while members of the resistance group are shown continuously striking her in the head, kicking her, yanking her hair, and assaulting her with a rifle.

Further, we found that the victim was accused of serving as an informant. Some of the alleged perpetrators belonged to the 4th Battalion of the Tamu District chapter of the anti-junta People’s Defence Force (PDF).

Moreover, in the video, the resistance group members are interrogating the girl. “Do you like money that much?” the interrogator questioned the woman. The interrogators included a woman. The young woman, who was in tears, responded that she wasn’t a military informant. A woman slaps her and orders her to admit she was an informant. To this she replies, “I wasn’t.” The victims involvement was suspected in the arrest of one PDF member.

The another report by Burma News International, the victim was not taking part in the Civil Defence Movement (CDM). They said that she was killed in June for giving information to the junta that led to the arrest and killing of local PDF members.

He stated that members of the resistance forces had kidnapped Aye Mar Tun because she was accused of attempting to gather intelligence on the location of resistance forces camps in the area.
