On March 2, 2022, the Twitter account of the Samajwadi Party, taking jibe at the BJP, tweeted a video. In the video, a man can be seen getting attacked by a bull.
The Samajwadi wrote, “Every day, bulls take the lives of people. People are hurt when they come into contact with bulls at the state’s square crossroads. Shame on you, Chief Minister. The government should declare compensation for those killed or wounded in bull attacks..”

Fact Check
In the first step of our research, we did the reverse image search of video shared by Samajwadi Party. Using reverse image search, we came across a report by Amar Ujala. According to the report, the video is four year old.
Moreover, the video is from Fatehabad, Haryana, and not from Uttar Pradesh. The incident has nothing to do with Yogi’s government. A fight broke out between two stray bulls, endangering the life of a man seen in the footage. However, the man was unharmed and safe. The incident was captured on CCTV, which Samajwadi is now using to blame Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh.
Furthermore, to be certain, we used the hints from Amar Ujala’s report and looked through other sources. According to My Nation, the incident indeed occurred in Haryana, Fatehabad, four years ago.
Hence, the video tweeted by the Samajwadi Party is not related to the Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party is using an old video from Haryana to mislead and attack the Yogi government.
