Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the government-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on Saturday (November 25), during which he flew a Tejas fighter aircraft in Bengaluru. PM Modi paid a visit to the city to assess the state of work at the manufacturing facility. In the light combat IAF aircraft, the Prime Minister flew for around forty-five minutes. He even shared a pictures of his flight and expressed how much his trust in the nation’s own resources was increased by his sortie in a domestic aircraft.
However, amidst all this, the Congress has started a propaganda. A video of the Prime Minister soaring in Tejas and waiving hand has been circulated by several Congress leaders and supporters. With satirical comments like “To whom is Modi ji saying bye from above the clouds?”, this video is being circulated.

The video was also shared by other Congress-affiliated handles Supriya Shrinate (Archived link), Srinivas BC (Archived link) and Nitin Agarwal (Archived link).
Moreover, the video of PM Modi waving his hand while flying in aircraft was shared by many other propagandists handles on X. We began our investigation by trying to locate footage of PM Modi’s visit to Bengaluru today. We discovered a video on the ANI X account that features brief shots of PM Modi flying in Tejas.
At 54 seconds into the video, the same keyframe, with PM Modi waiving his hand to the left emerges. However, we clearly see another aircraft flying beside the one the PM was flying just before this keyframe at 51 seconds.
Then at 1 minute and 1 second time frame, the video angle switches to a view from another aircraft, and you can see Prime Minister Modi waving at people inside that aircraft. This indicates that PM Modi was waving to people flying in the aircraft. Additionally, at the 1-minute and 9-second mark, the footage once again features the PM waving, with the pilot also joining in to wave towards the other aircraft.
In conclusion, the cropped video of PM Modi is being circulated out of context, falsely implying that he was waving at nobody. In truth, the PM was waving towards another aircraft that was flying alongside the one in which he was aboard.
