Just a few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the concluding ceremony of the Meri Maati Mera Desh – Amrit Kalash Yatra in New Delhi. However, as has become a recurring pattern, critics aligned with the Congress and various opposition factions, who often appear lacking in their sense of nationalism, wasted no time in mocking PM Modi’s message.
Ravinder Kapur, an Ardent supporter of Congress party, wrote on X, “ Invisible Water Invisible Matti Tilak.Who gives this actor such stupid ideas ? Is it Kangana Ranaut or Smriti Irani ?”
Islamist and Congress Supporter Tanvir Alam wrote, “ I looked through binoculars but didn’t see Tilak, was this also a joke.”
Another X user, Sir Kazam wrote, “ How to apply invisible Tilak with Desh Ki Mitti without spoiling Videsh ka Makeup. A man ashamed of letting Desh ki Maati spoil his glowing skin, on the job with his 24/7 shameless nautanki!”
Gurudath Shetty Karkala wrote on X, ” What is Modi doing here? Who has failed here PR team or Modi?”

We isolated the crucial keyframe from the viral content disseminated by individuals associated with the Congress party and initiated a reverse image search. Through this process, we successfully located the complete video, shared by several well-known social media users with public profiles.
Press Information Bureau shared the video with the caption, “ Prime Minister Narendra Modi participates in the concluding ceremony of Meri Maati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra, in Delhi. PM Narendra Modi pours soil in the Bharat Kalash and applies tilak with the soil at the concluding ceremony of MeriMaatiMeraDesh.”
During the “Mera Maati Mera Desh” event, which translates to “My Soil, My Nation,” Prime Minister Modi was observed filling a pit with soil. He then took a small pinch of this soil and applied it to his forehead as a tilak, a symbolic mark.
The video evidence unequivocally demonstrates that PM Modi used soil and not water during this event, discrediting the viral claim.
Furthermore, there is another claim circulating, alleging that PM Modi did not apply the tilak on his forehead. This assertion lacks a sound basis and can be easily debunked with common sense. The soil in the pit appeared to be alluvial soil, which is of a light gray to ash-gray color. Given PM Modi’s complexion, it is challenging to discern the soil from his forehead.
Therefore, the claims propagated by supporters of opposition parties are misleading and appear to be rooted in a sense of vengeance and vendetta politics. Such unfounded claims serve as yet another testament to the increasing popularity of Prime Minister Modi.
