Shobhnath Rao asserted, “Are you also included in this 87%? Apart from 87%, at least 3% more people also do not like Modi? But if the Election Commission of India and EVM machines like only Modi, then what can the people of the country do.”

Fact Check
In our fact check research, we used relevant keywords related to this survey, but we couldn’t find any survey report that shows Prime Minister Modi has a disapproval rating of 87%, nor any media coverage mentioning such a survey.
Contrary to the claim, we found a report from May 2020 in Navbharat Times which mentioned a survey stating that 87 percent of urban Indians gave a high rating to the Modi government for handling the COVID-19 crisis. This survey was conducted by the multinational market research firm Ipsos at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was intensifying across the globe. While speaking about the survey, the CEO of Ipsos India said that the Indian government had imposed a complete lockdown early on and had taken several bold measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Most of the people surveyed praised the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In conclusion, no such survey report exists which states that 87% of Indians want to remove PM Modi from office. This survey is fake.
