The arrest came after a complaint from Mayank Tripathi, the district convener of the Hindu Jagran Manch. Volunteers from the Hindu Jagran Manch provided CCTV footage from July 5, capturing the man engaging in inappropriate activities with bovines in the Gujaini area.
Joint Police Commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari stated that the Gujaini police arrested Brijesh Kumar Mishra and filed a case against him under section 377 (unnatural offences) of the IPC, as he was accused of having unnatural sex with cattle. The police obtained videos and photos from the CCTV footage, revealing evidence of wrongdoing with various animals.
