Amid Gujarat Assembly polls, the state spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party and fake news peddler, Naresh Balyan shared a video via a tweet on November 30, 2022, claiming that Hardik Patel, who recently joined the BJP in Gujarat, had called PM Modi a braggart and Arvind Kejriwal, the development of India, after having a feud with his party, the BJP.

In our research, using the keyword search “Hardik Patel’s views on PM Modi,” we found a 1:48-minute video on NDTV’s YouTube channel uploaded on July 19, 2016. We found out that it is the same video from which the clip, which was tweeted by Naresh Balyan, was taken. But the catch is that the video is six years old and not recent. Thus, Naresh Balyan’s claim that Hardik Patel called PM Modi a braggart and Arvind Kejriwal, Development of India, recently after a feud with his party is false. The truth is that Naresh Balyan cleverly tweeted Hardik Patel’s 2016 video when he was in Congress and claimed it as recent.
