Fact Check

During our investigation, we first decided to go through the social media handes of Uma Bharti. Our initial focus was on her esteemed Facebook page, where one might expect a prominent figure like her to express significant political opinions and endorsements. However, upon thorough examination, we discovered an intriguing absence. There was no trace of any post, statement, or utterance from Uma Bharti where she unequivocally proclaimed Rahul Gandhi will prove to be a very good Prime Minister.

To be sure, we also searched on Google but we found no such article claiming that Uma Bharti has said that Rahul Gandhi will prove to be a very good Prime Minister.

Continuing our investigation, we then decided to go through Uma Bharti’s official Twitter handle. However, there was not a single tweet on her timeline where she explicitly heralded Rahul Gandhi as a prospective standout leader for the nation’s highest office. Besides, we stumbled upon the only tweet she has done in August till now and that was from August 4, 2023, where she was wishing Acharya Balakrishna ji on his birthday.

Next, we ventured into the realm of recent tweets from Uma Bharti where she mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s name, hoping to uncover any hints, positive or negative, regarding Rahul Gandhi. During this, we discovered a tweet from January 30, 2023, that painted a vivid picture of her stance on the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi. In this particular tweet, Uma Bharti launched a fierce verbal assault, aiming her words squarely at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. She directly questioned Rahul Gandhi’s actions, suggesting that he should have returned after saluting Modi Ji and Amit Shah.

But she didn’t stop there. She further added, Not just Rahul Gandhi, now the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir hoist the tricolor on 15th August and 26 January. Article 370 has been removed, and we have solved the mistakes of Rahul Gandhi’s grandfather Nehru Ji with courage, she said.

After this, we tried to find the latest interview or media presence of Uma Bharti on Youtube. During this, we came across a Youtube video on CNN News 18, uploaded on July 22, 2023. In this interview video, Uma Bharti discussed the pressing issue of Manipur Violence, highlighting her deep concerns and sharing her perspective on this critical matter. Besides, there was no mention of Rahul Gandhi’s name. Not a single utterance hinted at him being a future beacon of leadership, nor did she express the belief that he would excel in the role of Prime Minister.

Hence, all these points prove that there is no evidence to support the claim that Uma Bharti, the esteemed former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has explicitly stated that Rahul Gandhi will prove to be an exceptional Prime Minister for the nation.
