Narendra Singh Pandhey complained to the district administration for closing the gym, a complaint was also made in the police station. It was also raised in the local Gurdwara Committee that despite being Sikhs, these people were creating ruckus by drinking alcohol, but even after this, when no action was taken on Narendra Singh’s complaint, he complained about the gym owner to the Chief Minister’s helpline. Angered by this, people beat up Narendra Singh.

According to the report, Additional SP of Jabalpur Police Kamal Maurya says that ‘Two complaints have been received in this matter and medical examination of both the people has been done. Action will be taken against the accused on the basis of video footage of the incident and other evidence.

In this matter, we also got a report from Public App according to which Congress workers beat up their former councilor Narendra Singh Pandey. Narendra Singh was coming by bike with his wife when the attack took place.

After this, we contacted Narendra Singh Pandhey with the help of a local journalist from Jabalpur and we talked to his colleague Jagandeep Singh. Jagandeep Singh told that Narendra Singh Pandhey is currently admitted to the hospital, and I am with him. When we asked him about the viral video, he told that Narendra Singh is a former councilor and social worker. He had complained about a gym in his neighborhood ‘Helly Star Gym’. There are goons, and mafia elements in this gym and all are bodybuilders. There are often drunken parties here. The former councilor had complained about this in the Chief Minister’s helpline, due to which he was beaten.

On the question of ‘Hindu vs Sikh’ in this case, Jagandeep Singh said that the main accused in this incident is gym operator Helly Bharaj, he is Mona Sikh (who gets hair cut). This is not a fight between Hindus and Sikhs.

In our investigation, we searched the Facebook profile of Helly Bharaj and in one picture he is also seen with a turban.

Hence, it is clear from the investigation that the Congress leader was beaten up for complaining about a liquor party in the gym, the main accused in this case is from the Sikh community. There is no communal dispute of any kind in the incident.
