On 27 November 2022, a video went viral on social media in which three students can be seen harassing their female Muslim teacher with lewd and inappropriate comments. Later it was found that the video is from a school in UP’s Meerut.
However, Anti-Hindu Zafarul-Islam Khan, the founding editor of Milli Gazette newspaper, while quoting the viral video, tweeted that in our societies teachers used to be treated as superior to one’s parents. But here, under the Hindutva and Gujarat model, values have been given a go-by, he added.
Another Twitter handle with the name Abdrhman while quoting the same viral video tweeted, a Muslim female teacher being targeted and harassed by her Hindu nationalist students in India.
So, is it true that the teacher was being harassed because of the student’s Hindutva ideology? Let’s Fact Check

Fact Check
In our research, we came across a report by THE SIASAT DAILY. In this report, we found that all the accused students involved in harassing the Muslim teacher were also Muslim (The names of the accused are not given here as they are minors). Further, the teacher also named one of the accused sister who was involved in the act.
According to the report, the teacher suffered mental trauma after the videos of the incident went viral. However, she has lodged a complaint against the perpetrators and the search operation by Police is on to nab the accused students.

Hence, it is clear that the whole incident has nothing to do with Hindutva or the Gujarat model as claimed by Zafarul-Islam Khan because all the accused are Muslims and the victim is also Muslim. So, the claims by Zafarul-Islam Khan are not just misleading but also an evil attempt to disrupt communal harmony in the country.
Claim | The teacher is harassed because the students are influenced by Hindutva ideology and Gujarat model |
