During this process, we stumbled upon a similar video featured on The Times of India news website. According to the TOI, the Madhya Pradesh police had indeed arrested eight men and publicly paraded them, with the men being half-naked, on the streets of Indore. The reason for this incident, as per The Times of India, was allegations against the men for engaging in stone-pelting and causing a disturbance. In the video, the men were seen chanting, ‘Paatharbazi nahi karenge, nahi karenge,’ which translates to ‘We will not engage in stone-pelting, we will not.’
After this, we came across a report by News Nine, published on September 10, 2023, which featured the same visuals as the viral video. Further into our investigation, we came across a report from LatestLy, published on September 10, 2023, which featured the same visuals as the viral video. According to this report, on a Saturday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, eight Muslim men found themselves paraded on the streets, partially unclothed, by the police. The incident transpired following a dispute where the men had thrown stones at each other, causing a disturbance.
Moreover, according to the report, In an effort to address the situation, the police not only paraded them but also compelled them to apologize to the local residents for inconveniences caused by their actions.
