To learn more about the incident, through a keyword search using “former PM Indira Gandhi statue vandalized in Kajra” we came across the report by Zee Rajasthan. According to the report, Mukesh Gurjar, a young man from Kajra village, challenged to break the statue of former prime minister Indira Gandhi at the local park by posting a status on his mobile. The Gram Panchayat Sarpanch lodged a police report against the young man for hurting the sentiments of the people and causing damage to state property.

The alleged offender was taken into custody by the police. In a statement, ADM JP Gaur said that the guy who damaged the statue has been taken into custody by the Baroda Police. To arrest him, the police force departed from Jhunjhunu. After questioning the defendant, the truth will become apparent. He said that the work on fixing the damaged statue will also be completed.
