On 18 November, 2022, a heart wrenching video came from Kasargod, Kerala, in which a man can be seen beating up a teenage Muslim girl mercilessly. However, various Twitter handles tweeted the video, saying that the Man who is beating the girl is a Hindu extremist.
Moreover, a Twitter handle with the username @muslim2day, Indian Muslim, and Samykamaleldeen tweeted the video and added that an extremist Hindu brutally beat a 9-year-old Muslim girl just because she was on her way to Islamic school.
So, are Indian Muslims really under attack in India?
What OnlyFact found in its research is that the tweet is misleading and completely false. We found that the man in the video who is beating the Muslim girl is also a Muslim, as is her neighbor. His name is Aboobacker Siddique, and he is 34 years old. He has also been arrested by the police after the incident.
