However, social media these days has been abuzz with news and pictures claiming that Dhirendra Shastri has thrown his weight behind the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh. Twitter user Ajay Chauhan shared a photo of a news cutting alleging that Dhirendra Shastri will embark on a 121 km walk in support of the Congress party.

Moreover, several other Congress supporters including Mubeen, Shubham Kumar Jha, Kamalnathiyan, etc also shared the same picture and made similar claims.

Journalist Deepak Pandey Mudgal who is a staunch critic of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar also shared the viral picture and wrote, “Does Congress also want Hindu Rashtra? This effort of Kamal Nath ji is great to woo the Hindus, but what about the Muslims who support the Congress party? It seems, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri ji’s Hindu nation, Kamal Nath ji will make it, thanks to politics!”.

We began our investigation by scrutinizing the Twitter and Facebook profiles of former MP chief minister Kamal Nath. However, we found no evidence to support the claims made by Congress supporters regarding Dhirendra Shastri’s alleged support for the party. Since one of the pictures shared by Congress supporters had MP Congress MLA Shashank Bhargava in it, we also checked his social media accounts. However, once again, we found no news or pictures related to the claims in question.

In our quest for the truth, we then decided to investigate the official Twitter handle of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar. As we delved deeper, we stumbled upon a tweet featuring the same viral pictures. The tweet, however, had an entirely different story to tell. According to the tweet, the news was “completely wrong and misleading.” The tweet quotes, “This news is completely wrong and misleading. Respected Gurudev Bageshwar Dham Sarkar is not in favor of any political party and will not remain so. There is only one party of Lord Gurudev Hanuman Ji’s party whose flag is the Saffron flag. This news is a conspiracy to defame Bageshwar Dham Sarkar”.

Hence, all these points conclude that the claims made by Congress supporters regarding Bageshwar Dham Sarkar’s supposed support for the party are baseless.
