News 18 journalist and Congress shared an old video of Vikram Saini misbehaving with Brahmin community

Mamta Tripathi, a journalist associated with News 18 and the UP Congress Twitter handle, shared a video alleging that the BJP MLA from Khatauli, whose wife is contesting an election, has abused the Brahmin community while misbehaving with them.

In our research, using the keyword search “Vikram Saini misbehaving with Brahmins,” we came across a report by Jagran dated November 24, 2019.

In our fact check, we found that the Congress Twitter handle and journalist from News 18 shared an old video from 2019. According to a Jagran report, in 2019, MLA Vikram Saini got into an argument with other people present at a wedding event held at a banquet venue on Buada Road. The MLA filed a police report, accusing three people of attacking him and threatening to murder him at gunpoint. Police arrested the accused, Har Swaroop Sharma, and seized his gun.

Later, at the police station, MLA Vikram Saini misbehaved with the people of the Brahmin community. The problem was brought to the attention of Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who directed officials to take appropriate action.

Tahrir was issued against many people, including the MLA and his son, accusing them of immorality with Brahmins.

People from the Brahmin community flocked to the streets to demand the arrest of Vikram Saini and his son.

The video shared by News 18 Journalist and the UP Congress Twitter account dates from 2019. The video was first shared by Mamta Tripathi. The journalist’s reckless actions may mislead people and cause animosity between various segments of society.
