NCC DG Lt. General Virendra Vats did not say Pakistani drones reached Delhi and Gujarat

A video is going viral on social media which claims that NCC DG Lt. General Virendra Vats revealed that Pakistani drones reached Delhi and Gujarat as per intelligence reports in May this year. If these drones had carried out an attack instead of retreating, India could have faced significant damage, and Pakistan currently possesses more advanced drone technology than India.

In our fact-check investigation, we took screenshots from the viral video clip and performed a reverse image search. This search led us to an IANS post. The report says that NCC DG Lt. General Virendra Vats says, “Drones will play a major part in our economy. So, besides opening greater opportunities for our cadets, also ability to reinforce our defence forces in terms of drone and also cyber issues. So, in the coming time, you will see that NCCC, you can say NCCCC, National Cyber Cadet Corps, some selected cadets will be given a first-class cyber training.”

In conclusion, the viral video clip of NCC DG Lt. General Virendra Vats is edited and misleading. He never claimed that Pakistani drones entered Delhi and Gujarat.
