Image Showing Killers of Hadi Crossing India-Bangladesh Border Is Digitally Altered

An image is going viral on social media claiming to show the killers of Sharif Osman Hadi crossing the border between India and Bangladesh on December 6, 2025.

Another handle, War Analyst, stated, ”Are These the Killers of Usman Hadi? Footage has surfaced showing two suspected shooters linked to the killing of Usman Hadi, reportedly crossing the Petrapole–Benapole border from India into Bangladesh on 6 December 2025. According to available information, Bangladesh Police have identified them as key suspects and have launched a search operation to trace and apprehend them. Fact Check

In our fact-check investigation, we conducted a reverse image search of the viral image. This search led us to The Indian Express report dated August 7, 2024. We found a similar image in the report, which features Bangladeshi students studying at a university in Meghalaya crossing the India-Bangladesh border through a check post.

The viral image has been taken from the India Express report and has been digitally altered with the alleged killer faces.

In conclusion, the image claiming to show the killers of Sharif Osman Hadi being captured on CCTV while crossing the Petrapole-Benapole border from India to Bangladesh is digitally altered. The actual image is from an Indian Express report featuring Bangladeshi students entering India via a border check post.
