On 21 November 2022, a video went viral on social media in which French President Emmanuel Macron was getting slapped by a person in front of his security. Luke Rudkowski tweeted the viral video and added Emmanuel Macron got slapped up again. Another Twitter handle with the username Saida Zahidova tweeted the viral video and claimed that a woman protesting in France slapped President Emmanuel.

In our research, using the keyword search “Emmanuel Macron getting slapped”, we came across a report by NBC NEWS. What we found in the report is that the alleged viral video of Emmanuel Macron getting slapped is from June 2021. As per the report, Damien Tarel was the guy who attacked the French President. He was also sentenced to 4 months in prison after the incident in 2021. So, the viral video claiming that the French President gets slapped again is just a newly published angle of a June 2021 incident where Macron was slapped by a man in public.
