Hindu religion and its culture are being attacked by the Hinduphobe lobby on X (formerly Twitter). There are many Hinduphobic accounts, most of which are based in Pakistan, that spread misinformation about Hindus day and night. One such account @/akal_de_sewadar (Sikhs are not Hindus) has recently come to our notice. This account with around 3.7K followers is deliberately spreading fake and malicious misinformation in an ill attempt to attack Hinduism. Recently a claim (archived link) was made from this account that there was an incident of rape and murder of a cow by five people in India. The account further claims that PM Modi has blamed the influence of Western culture for this shameful incident.

We started our research by running relevant keyword searches in Hindi and English. Additionally, the keyword search yielded no results. We were unable to find credible news sources that support this claim. Moreover, if such an incident had happened and PM Modi had given such a statement attributing the incident to the influence of Western culture, then the leftist media portals, which never spare an opportunity to target Hindutva, would have reported this incident without fail. This suggests that the claim is false and fabricated.
Furthermore, while searching for media reports using keyword search, we found some incidents of cow rape in India. In 2022, Alam Ansari, a 32-year-old man who worked as a JCB driver at a firm in Chamoli, was arrested for sexually assaulting a female calf, The Print reported. He was booked under IPC sections 377 (having sexual intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal) and section 511 (attempt to commit offence not punishable by other specific sections) as well as section 11(3) Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
In a separate incident recorded in the year 2023, a Muslim man named Mohammad Nafees was caught trying to rape a cow in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. After being caught he was handed over to the police.
Additionally, in the same year, a 24-year-old man identified as Imtiyaz Hussain Miya, was also arrested in Raichur for raping a calf. Furthermore, another individual named Ramprasad faced arrest in Uttar Pradesh for engaging in the sexual assault of a two-month-old calf.
Furthermore, in our research on this incident, we came across many more similar incidents of cow rape. We also tried to determine whether PM Modi had made that statement attributing the cow rape incident to the influence of Western culture. However, the claim is unfounded as no reliable news source was found.
Conclusion: According to OnlyFact analysis, PM Modi’s claims of attributing the incident of cow rape and murder to five Indian men is false as there is a lack of reliable sources to support these claims.
