On February 16, Sathish Reddy, a BRS party leader and serial fake news peddler, uploaded a photograph of a school, claiming that it was from Uttarakhand, a BJP-ruled state. In the picture, the school can be seen in poor condition. Students do not have a study seat or desk. So, they’re sitting on the floor. However, the tweet was later removed.

Fact Check
We started our research with a reverse image search using TinEye tool. The reverse image search led us to the alamy website, where we found the same image.
Moreover, the description of the image says that it is from Brahimpur village in Chapra district of Bihar. The photograph was taken on July 19, 2013 by photographer Adnan Abidi. The students in the photograph are studying inside their classroom after receiving their free mid-day meal from a government-run primary school.
Further, we found another article titled “Ten lakh students deprived of mid-day meals in Bihar” dated July 26, 2013. The article has used the same image.
Hence, considering all the above aspects, it is clear that the image is not from Uttarakhand but Bihar. And it was taken in 2013. So, the claim made by Sathish Reddy is fake.
