CM Dhami's roadshow was preplanned
As we know, 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel for 17 days in Uttarkashi of Uttarkhand have been rescued safely. Actually, a part of the Silkyara-Barkot tunnel, included in the road being prepared for Dharasu to Yamunotri, collapsed on the morning of 12 November, since then the workers remained trapped inside the tunnel for 17 days. However, now it is being claimed that after 41 laborers came out of the tunnel, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami conducted a roadshow in Haldwani, although investigation shows that this roadshow has nothing to do with the rescue operation of the laborers.

During our investigation, we searched related keywords on Google and found a report published on Haldwani Live and Hindustan website on 25 November 2023. It has been told in this report that a grand Ija Baini Mahotsav is being organized in the MB Inter College campus of Haldwani on 30th November. The reports further states, District officials including DM Vandana Singh launched the ‘logo’ of Ija Baini Mahotsav. CM Dhami will come to participate in this program. CM Dhami will inaugurate 66 schemes of the entire state including the district worth Rs 209 crore and lay the foundation stone of 193 schemes worth Rs 504 crore.
Moreover, we also found a report published on Amar Ujala’s website on 22 November 2023. It has been told in this report that the Chief Minister will participate in the Matri Shakti Abhinandan program at the Ija-Baini Mahotsav organized at Haldwani MB Inter College on 30th November. After this, we found a report published on Dainik Jagran’s website on 30 November 2023, in which it was told that CM Dhami will participate in the Eja-Baini Mahotsav on Thursday in the grounds of MB Inter College. Route diversion has been done for this.
After this we contacted Uttarakhand CMO officer Prem Singh Rana in this matter. He told us that Ija-Baini Mahotsav was organized in Haldwani to promote women self-help groups, the CM participated in this program. CM was welcomed on the arrival route of this program, this road show has nothing to do with the rescue operation of 41 laborers. This program was already decided. Prem Singh Rana also provided us an order in this regard.
Hence, it is clear from our investigation that Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami had not organized a road show to commemorate the safe exit of 41 laborers from the tunnel. CM Dhami had reached Haldwani to participate in the Ija-Baini Mahotsav, and he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many schemes. This program of CM Dhami was pre-planned.
